This subscription includes quarterly workshops that help educators empower K-5 students to overcome social and emotional challenges. The workshops, lead by Shamirrah Hill, are designed to equip students for lifelong success. The workshops include readings of her social-emotional learning books, discussions to help students process the SEL concepts and make real-world connections, and empowering creative arts activities. Students leave the workshops with copies of Shamirrah Hill's social-emotional learning books to take home so they can receive ongoing support and encouragement from them and so that they can read the book as a coping skill when social-emotional challenges arise. Through observation and participation in the workshop, educators learn the strategies used so that they can continue to support their students' social-emotional development throughout the school year.
